Eligibility
Rio Tax realizes no two customers are alike and we consider an applicant’s entire application, including the following:
- The property (residential, commercial, investment, or land) must be located in Texas
- The total taxes, interest, penalties, and other fees you owe must be at least $1,500
- The borrower cannot be in bankruptcy or have a current federal tax lien
- The property must be in reasonable condition
- The borrower(s) can afford the low monthly payments

Residential
Rio Tax is unique in that homeowners can control the terms of their plan- which have no pre-payment penalty. The process can be completed very quickly with no out-of-pocket expenses and very little documentation.
Our pre- application process is quick and easy and only requires the following information:
- Name of Property Owner(s)
- Property Mailing Address
- Contact Information (phone number, email, etc.)
- Mortgage Company information (if any)
Commercial
Rio Tax is perfect for businesses and owners of commercial properties who want to avoid the high fees and penalties of delinquent property taxes or wish to conserve cash to expand their business, buy new equipment, or make property and equipment repairs. Rio Tax understands times are tough, we are a smart solution for a business needing cash.
Owners of commercial property may be asked to provide the following information:
- Information about the borrowing entity (e.g., articles of incorporation, partnership agreements, etc.)
- Corporate tax returns and/or financial statements
- Inspection report
- Property survey and recent environmental survey
